opinionation
i am quite interested with how my thoughts and beliefs are starting to solidify here in grad school. it's not that i have never done this much reading, because even though i actually haven't, i have done a sufficient amount in undergrad. i don't know what it is actually... maybe interactions with such interesting people.. but i am starting to notice that my beliefs (about the proper role of government to be specific) are not changing like they used to. when i used to read articles, i could easily conform to what the author was saying.. just kind of go along, and not really have an opinion as to whether i "bought the argument" or not. the point was just to study the article. now, however, i find that i definately have a point of view on whether the author's argument is valid or not. it's actually kind of nice to feel this way because i have felt so wishy washy before... everyone else around me had strong opinions on issues that i really didn't care about to tell you the truth. i am now opinionated! haha ok so i actually have always been opinionated, but now am opinionated about government. yaaay
